CAAM Literacy Day!
I am proud and excited to be attending Literacy Day at the California African American Museum on Saturday May 17th! I'll be at the authors' booth all day, so drop by and say hello :). I will also be reading twice throughout the day, and if there is time I might even reveal some new material from the Yellow Book!

On December 15th at 2:15pm, come down to Barnes & Noble at The Grove​ and learn how to Tame Your Wild Narrative during my holiday season writing workshop!
​​9-Dots is a non-profit organization devoted to improving education among students. At the workshop, you will receive a voucher to buy any books in the store. All books you buy with the voucher will automatically give money to 9-Dots to start up their kids library. It's a pretty awesome way to do your holiday book shopping and work on your story at the same time. Purchasing Seven Spectral: The Orange World Outlaw gives the largest percentage, so to get the most bang for your donation buck, be sure to pick up a copy at the event. Already have one? It's the holidays, folks! Give, give, give to your cousin, sibling, mom, best friend -- sky's the limit!
International best-selling author Sheri Fink will be there doing the workshop with me. You'll get a chance to go over your story with us, and we will help you figure out how to transform it into the tale you've always wanted to tell!
Workshop your story with me, get your book signed, see the premiere of the Orange World Outlaw trailer, buy holiday presents, and help kids -- that's a lot of accomplishment for one day. I really hope to see you there wearing your favorite shade of Orange!

I will be there talking to the students about Publishing as a career, as well as working in the Video Game industry! There will be dozens of professionals from all walks of life. It is sure to be epic, informative, and fun.

Come to Grand Park on March 2nd to enjoy our new, beautiful park in the middle of downtown LA! I'll be there reading an excerpt from Into the Red World, and there will be family-friendly festivities all day. The weather's going to be perfect -- I really can't wait for this one!

This February, I will be speaking at the Southern California Writer's Conference in San Diego about keeping your self-publishing campaign as visual as possible! So, if you have some extra cash to throw around and a deep interest in writing, come on down to the SCWC to see panels from many writers of many genres.

In addition to getting your book signed and hearing me blabber on about death-defying adventure and other awesome stuff, meet some of the volunteers and students that make 826LA tick and keep an ear out for words from them about how the gift of reading has effected their lives.

Award-winning, best-selling children's author Sheri Fink will be there signing and supporting children's literacy with me, along with fantasy artist Kythera of Anevern!

Celebrate the holidays! Celebrate reading! Celebrate the youths of 826LA! And sure, why not celebrate the Red World while you're at it?

And then join us next door for some after-party style celebration! Warning: the after-party will likely involve libations. If you're under 21 -- that'll be the boring part anyway, nothing to miss :)

Also, don't forget to wear as much red as possible to the book fair! I'll be doing a gift give-away for the person wearing the most red, so dress to impress!
